Ninja Fairy

I'm not sure if dA thinks this is the right category, but I do think that it's traditional art since I've done everything by hand. It's just the background that is a stock image.

I got inspiration to a new manga serie a couple of weeks ago when I was in the archipelago of Stockholm. This serie would be about the war between the fairies and the menninkäinen. I haven't thought up the plot, but it would involve the fairy princess having a forbidden affair with one of the menninkäinen. But I doubt I'll ever work any further with this idea. I already got my other manga (that I will continue with as soon as I find my sketch book with all my sketches and ideas).

Anyway, you know how you get cuts on your legs when walking through tall grass wearing shorts? Well, I thought that fairies could make blades out of grass. This character has two straws of grass where the leafy part has been ripped of, only the utmost tip is spared. So these are kind of a whips with blades of sharp grass at the ends. Can you see that he's a guy? I know that even male fairies are supposed to look feminine, but this came out a little too feminine. I think there's something wrong with his face. It's his face that really looks like it belongs to a woman. And he was a little too inspired by Link. I should have made his clothes some other, darker color. Heh, maybe I could join the Zelda competition on NF with this picture.
